VOLUNTEERS are manning a monthly information stand about dementia in Keighley's shopping centre.
Members of Dementia Friendly Keighley offer advice on support and services available to people suffering from dementia, their families and carers.
Also on hand are representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society who can provide both information and a listening ear.
People can also watch DVDs which show what it is like to face everyday tasks with dementia, and how the behaviour of people around them can make life better for those living with the condition.
The volunteers can provide written literature about what dementia is and what the future might hold for people with the condition. People can go on to learn more by attending a Dementia Friends session.
It is estimated that one in 14 people over the age of 65 will develop dementia, including about 5,000 people in Keighley's current population.
The stall is in the Airedale shopping centre on the third Friday of every month between 11am and 2pm.
