Morgan Schneiderlin has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Saints manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed.
The midfielder suffered ligament damage in last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham and will be sidelined for the next four-to-five weeks, meaning he will not be able to feature in the club's final four matches.
Koeman said: "Morgan will be out until the end of the season because he has ligaments on left knee and he will be out for four or five weeks. That means until the end of the season."
Koeman was asked about the speculation surrounding Schneiderlin's future and added: "I don’t know all about interest and all about bids.
"We like to keep everybody but we know sometimes it’s difficult but there isn’t any serious bid for the player."
