SAINTS have reportedly rejected a £10m bid for defender Nathaniel Clyne from Liverpool.

National newspapers claim the Anfield club want to make Clyne their fourth signing from Saints in the space of a year after signing Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren last summer for a combined fee of almost £50m.

And the reports suggest they will return with an improved offer for the Saints star, who has one-year left on his contract.

As reported by the Daily Echo, Clyne's contract talks have been an on-going issue with Manchester United also linked to the England international.

And manager Ronald Koeman last week said he expected the situation to be resolved soon.
