Since behaviour on trains is a subject of concern ( Letters, July 18), I would like record my experience of passengers at Paisley Gilmour Street.

I knocked on their window as they appeared to be unaware the service had been terminated due to engineering works and all passengers were continuing the journey to Glasgow Central by bus. Their response was obscene gestures at my person and self-congratulation at their own drink-fuelled boorishness. Watching their smug faces turn to confusion and horror ten seconds later as the train started back down the line the way they had come was a treat.
