Saints legend Francis Benali has mocked Liverpool's transfer policy after the Reds completed the signing of yet another St Mary's star, Nathaniel Clyne, today.
Brendan Rodgers' side brought in Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert last summer and have continued raiding Saints this transfer window, bringing in Clyne for £12.5.
It brings their spending on Saints players alone over the last year to £60m.
As a result Benali, who made nearly 400 appearances for the club, posted a picture of a garden chair on Twitter with a Saints badge stuck to it, joking that Rodgers had just bid £8m for it.
Struggled to sell this chair for weeks online, but just put this on it and Brendan Rodgers has bid £8M!! 😂😂 #saintsfc pic.twitter.com/Mi67m4yQo5
