Saints have this morning learnt their six potential Europa League third qualifying round opponents.

The full draw takes place at midday, but for now here is quick guide as to who they might face.

Vitesse

Ronald Koeman used to manage the Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem, who finished fifth in Holland’s top flight.

They lost at this stage of the competition in 2012/13 and 2014/15.

Strum Graz

A strong Austrian team who go straight into the third qualifying round by virtue of their league position, having finished fourth last term.

Charleroi/Beitar Jerusalem

A trip to Jerusalem is about the furthest Saints could have possibly got at this stage of the competition, however, it is not worth worrying too much about that as Charleroi hold a 5-1 lead after the first leg of their tie.

They finished sixth in the Belgian top flight last season and haven’t played in Europe since 2005, and that in the Intertoto Cup.

FK Vojvodina/FK Spartaks Jūrmala

Vojvodina are the most likely of these two opponents after a convincing 3-0 win in the first leg of their tie.

They finished fourth in the Serbian SuperLiga last season and have been regulars in Europe down the years.

Spartaks Jūrmala of Latvia face an uphill battle to make it through to the third qualifying round. They entered the competition this year in the first round where they defeated Buducnost Podgorica of Montenegro.

Shamrock Rovers/Odds BK

The dream trip for supporters would be the short jaunt to Ireland to face Shamrock Rovers, but they trail Norwegian side Odd 2-0 after the home leg, so look unlikely to make it through.

Shamrock finished fourth in Ireland’s top flight last season.

Odds were third in Norway’s leading division last term and are currently seventh this season.

FK Kukësi/FK Mladost Podgorica

There was a very close first leg between the sides with Mladost Podgorica winning 1-0 away from home.

Mladost Podgorica finished fourth in the top division of Montenegro last season, and play in a stadium with a capacity of just 2,000.

FK Kukësi finished second in the Albanian SuperLiga last season.
