SALISBURY – home to Richard Hill’s Eastleigh tomorrow (Tuesday, 7.45pm) – have confirmed another four signings.

Manager Steve Claridge has brought his squad up to 17 with the addition of Matt Burt, George Colson, Mark Ford and Kane O’Keefe, who all penned deals after last week’s AFC Bournemouth friendly.

Former Itchen College student Burt, a 6ft 2in centre-half, began his career with Fareham Town before moving on to Folland Sports and briefly upping sticks to Team Solent towards end of last season.

Colson, also 21, was with Newport IoW last term and will be used by Claridge primarily as a right back. He came through the Portsmouth academy as a midfield player and had loan spells with Dorchester Town and Bashley.

The youngster has an eye for goal and grabbed the first in Saturday’s 4-1 friendly win over Portland United, having previously registered against Bristol Rovers.

Ford, scorer of Whites’ winner against Bournemouth, has been a prolific scorer over several seasons.

Based in Blandford, the 25-year-old joined Blackfield & Langley from Weymouth last term.

O’Keefe, a midfield powerhouse, also impressed against the young Cherries. A local Salisbury boy, the 26-year-old was with Laverstock & Ford last season having parted company with Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

He opened his scoring account for the Whites in their 2-0 friendly win at Dorchester Town and also netted the fourth at Portland.

Salisbury have added an extra pre-season friendly to their list and will travel to Southern One South & West outfit Bashley - where Steve Riley has just returned as manager - next Tuesday (August 4, 7.45pm).

That will be their final friendly ahead of the big Sydenhams Premier kick-off at Brockenhurst on August 8.
