SHOLING produced a superb display of attacking football to crush United Services Portsmouth 6-0 in last night’s FA Vase second qualifying round replay at a soggy Burnaby Road.
The 2013/14 Vase winners were below par last Friday as they were held 1-1 after extra time by the Sydenhams One underdogs.
But Dave Diaper’s Boatmen were a different proposition last night as Jamie Bulpitt (2), Byron and Dan Mason and Marvin McLean powered them 5-0 up at half-time.
McLean, who famously scored the Wembley winner, brought up the half dozen after the break.
Sholing are now at home to another Sydenhams One side, Laverstock & Ford, in the first round proper on Saturday, October 31.
