GRAZIANO Pelle maintained his impressive start to life on the international stage.
The in-form Saints striker bagged his fourth goal in eight games for his country as Italy came from behind to end Norway’s Euro 2016 dream in Rome.
Pelle headed a good chance wide in the very first minute and then nodded an even better chance wide from six yards before Norway stunned their hosts by taking a half time lead through Alex Tettey.
Alessandro Florenzi capitalised on a defensive mix-up to poke home a 71st minute leveller, before Pelle rifled home the winner with his left foot nine minutes from time.
It was the third time Pelle had scored a qualifying group winner, having twice netted the only goal in victories home and away against Malta.
Norway would have won the group had they triumphed, but as it was they missed out entirely.
