Virgin Media have told Saints fans the drinks are on them as they kick-off their partnership with the club in style.

To celebrate the start of the new Premier League season, Virgin Media will be offering a welcome drink to every supporter attending Saturday’s home game against Watford.

Claude Puel’s side will host the Hornets in the 2016/17 curtain-raiser, with Saints’ new Main Club Sponsor wanting to make it an extra-special day for the fans.

Each home supporter arriving at St Mary’s will receive a voucher as they go through the turnstiles, which can be redeemed for one drink of your choice from the concourse outlets before kick-off.

Please note, you must arrive by 2.30pm in order to receive a voucher, and this must be used before 3pm.

It is the latest in a long line of exciting initiatives from Virgin Media to benefit the club’s supporters, and is all part of its commitment to being more than a shirt sponsor, with the company wanting to make the experience of following Saints and watching football at St Mary’s the best it can be.

As the UK’s only TV provider to offer all the sporting action on Sky Sports and BT Sport in one package, Virgin Media believe that football should be about the fans.

Already, it has offered discounted tickets to the Friday night away game against Manchester United this month, while also laying on free travel to Season Ticket holders for the match.

Additionally, Saints supporters benefited from a two-for-one ticket offer, brought to fans by Virgin Media, for the club’s home pre-season friendlies, against Espanyol and Athletic Club.

Other initiatives to come include a discounted ticket bundle that will give access to all three home matches in the UEFA Europa League group stage, while a dedicated Virgin Media Fan Hub will be created at the stadium.
