THREE goals in a sizzling 15-minute first-half spell sent Fareham Town cruising into the FA Cup first qualifying round with a 4-0 replay win over Verwood last  night.

Adam Fisher opened the scoring with a 30th-minute header, which Simon Woods added to shortly afterwards.

Liam Kimber beat the Verwood offside trap to make it 3-0, but was stretchered off minutes later with an ankle injury.

Woods completed the scoring with a deft second-half lob.

Creeksiders boss Steve Stone tweeted afterwards: "A good win in the FA Cup tonight. Verwood worked very hard and never gave in which made for a very competitive game. Well done both teams."

Fareham will travel to the winners of tonight's (Wednesday's) replay between Alresford Town and Wimborne on Saturday week (September 3).

*BLACKFIELD & Langley were the big scorers of the Hampshire FA Senior Cup first round, blowing away Fleet Spurs 7-1 through Tim Sills (2), Josh Rose (2), Manny Soetan, Sam Poole and Jamie White.

Hamble Club took the local bragging rights 3-0 against Folland Sports thanks to Coby Wilson, Matt Burt and James Vinton.

Mark Barker and Mitchell Speechley-Price ensured Brockenhurst ousted Totton & Eling 2-0, Fawley AFC upstaged Tadley Calleva 3-1 away through Dan Fry, Kieran Roche and Jack Keen and AFC Portchester (Tom Cain, Joe Noakes, Nathan Kirby 2) triumphed 4-2 at Romsey (Daryll Phillips, Hamad Haidar).

Team Solent - double cup winners last season - bowed out 3-1 at Horndean.

Brad Gale, Joe Richardson and Robbie Tambling scored for the Deans with Tobi Akekunle netting the Students' reply. Adekunle was dismissed late on.
