Burnley are crossing their fingers that goalkeeper Tom Heaton is fit to face Saints on Sunday.
Heaton withdrew from the England squad last week due to a calf problem and is touch-and-go, with veteran Paul Robinson standing by.
Robinson, 36, joined Burnley on a free from Lancashire rivals Blackburn last January but has yet to play a senior game for the Clarets.
In fact, he hasn't played a senior game for over TWO years - his last outing coming for Blackburn Rovers in September 2014.
Striker Andre Gray serves the third game of a four-match ban for historic social media posts but there are no other concerns.
Provisional squad: Heaton, Robinson, Pope, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Tarkowski, A O'Neill, K Long, Flanagan, Marney, Kightly, Defour, Hendrick, Boyd, Gudmundsson, Arfield, Vokes, Bamford.
