THE rise of Eastleigh’s shining star Luke Coulson continues.
The 22-year-old wide midfielder is in line for an international cap after being called up for the England C squad.
Coulson, who has hit six goals this season despite sitting out several early games injured, will travel to Tallinn for an International Challenge Trophy match against Estonia under-23s on November 15.
It is richly-deserved recognition for the former Manchester City and Cardiff youngster, signed for an undisclosed fee from Oxford City in January on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Prior to the Estonia trip, a training camp will be held at the University of Warwick between Sunday, October 30 and Tuesday, November 1.
Eastleigh chairman Stewart Donald tweeted: "Well done Luke - fully deserved. Fantastic news - everyone at @eastleighfc is very proud of you today, as always!"
Team boss Ronnie Moore added: "Well done to Luke Coulson on his well deserved England call up. Brilliant mate."
More good news for Eastleigh was a 2-1 win over Hungerford Town in the FA Youth Cup third qualifying round. Tom Bearwish scored both Spitfires goals.
