Should Saints make it through to the last 32 of the Europa League, then all eyes will be on Monday’s draw for the knockout stages.

The draw will take place at midday GMT in Nyon with the last 32 contests consisting of a two-legged tie.

As Saints can only qualify from Group K in second place, they already know that if they get through they will be unseeded and so would play at home on Thursday, February 16, with the away leg the following week on Thursday, February 23.

The last 32 will see the 12 Europa League group winners and the best four third placed teams from the Champions League group stages seeded.

The 12 Europa League group runners-up and the other four third placed Champions League group stage teams will be unseeded.

The seeded teams will be drawn against an unseeded side, with teams from the association unable to draw each other, meaning Saints could not be paired with Manchester United, the only other English club in the tournament.

This changes if Saints reach the last 16 where there are no seedings and they could draw an English side - as United did last season when they drew Liverpool.
