ANOTHER of Eastleigh's younger players is on the brink of leaving the Vanarama National League club.

The Spitfires have today accepted a bid for frontman Scott Wilson, who turned 24 earlier this month.

The striker, signed from Weston-Super-Mare during the summer, has been granted permission to speak to a so far unnamed club.

An Eastleigh statement confirmed: "We have given permission for Scott to talk with the respective club and will update fans in due course as appropriate."

Wilson has made 19 appearances for the Spitfires, scoring four goals.

He is one of two young players potentially departing this week, along with highly-rated 22-year-old midfielder Luke Coulson.

The Silverlake Stadium outfit have just banked a club record fee from Bristol Rovers for 26-year-old right-back and skipper Joe Partington.
