Bush Hill have one hand firmly on the Hampshire Premier League championship trophy.

They won 2-1 at Colden Common in midweek and now need a maximum of just four points from their last six outings .

Goals in each half from Martyn Randall and Cain Prentice lifted Bush onto 58 points at the top of the table.

That's 10 points clear of nearest challengers Liphook United and Hayling United who, with three games each remaining, can no longer catch Eugene McManus's team.

That just leaves fifth-placed Fleetlands, who won 1-0 at Bush Hill last month, as the only team with an outside chance of denying them the title.

However, it's only a mathematical chance in reality as the 'Coptermen need to win all their last seven games without Bush Hill securing another solitary victory.

Harry Potter struck twice as Clanfield won 3-1 at Overton in midweek. Billy Ashmore also netted after Johnny Gurney had put Overton ahead from the penalty spot.

An 82nd minute goal from Jimmy Hird gave Paulsgrove victory at Locks Heath.

Netley Central were held 2-2 at home by Lyndhurst in Division 1 of the HPL.

Mike Mullen and Matt Watts netted for the hosts with Luke Chapman (penalty) and Connor Collins replying.
