AFC TOTTON have announced yet another new arrival for next season.

Promising young defender Callum Chugg has joined the Stags from Sydenhams Wessex outfit Fawley AFC.

Chugg came to Totton’s attention almost by accident while they were out scouting fellow new signings Toby Adekunle and Pip Nolan from Team Solent.

He stole the show that day with a commanding defensive display against the Students and the Stags have kept tabs on his progress through their former coach Lee Burch who has been playing in goal for Fawley.

Totton boss Louis Langdown said of the 19-year-old: “Callum is young in years and in game time at Wessex Premier level, having really just broken through last season.

"But he has huge potential and was getting plenty of admirers from big Wessex Premier clubs and also one or two of our divisional rivals.

“He is one for the future, but at AFC Totton the future starts immediately.

“The young players know they will get game time, our patience and plenty of support from everyone at the club to improve their game.”
