CHANDLERS Ford Snooker Club has retained the Cuestars club rankings trophy.

Its players amassed nearly double the number of points across all five tours as runner-up Greenbaize, Bournemouth.

Eight-year-old O’Shay Scott was nominated to receive the silverware on behalf of the club from world number 37 Mark Davis during the presentation at Jesters Snooker Club, Swindon.

And the pint-sized potter then formally handed it over to Ray Cooper, the new owner of Chandlers Ford SC, in front of players and parents during the Saturday morning junior leagues.

The trophy is awarded to the club whose players collect the most points over the whole season on the Cuestars Under-21 Gold, Silver and Bronze Tours plus the Seniors (40+) and Championship Tours.

Meanwhile, Chandlers Ford SC will be on the hunt for the next generation of young potters during next week’s Ken Jones May Half-Term Cup.

World Snooker coach Tim Dunkley is running various snooker–based activities from 11am-3pm, Monday to Friday. The cost is £6 a day. No pre-registration is required and complete beginners are catered for.
