WINCHESTER City boss Craig Davis is glad to have frontline duo Patrick Cox and Oli Bailey reunited again.
Bailey was back to partner Cox for Tuesday night’s 6-2 Hampshire Senior Cup win against East Cowes Vics and will play his first Evo-Stik South West game for more than a month at home to Mangotsfield United tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).
Cox scored four against Vics, including three headers, and Bailey also netted in his first game after a month out with an ankle injury.
Davis said: “It was just good to have a game after ten days without one. We played quite well considering we made seven changes.
“It was good for Pat to be back on the scoresheet after a few games without a goal and for Oli to score on his return.
“It’s more than about him and Oli but, with a clean bill of health, hopefully we can get a good run going.”
Third-from-bottom Mangotsfield will not be underestimated.
“We saw them at [league leaders] Bristol Manor Farm and they were unlucky to lose 3-1,” added Davis.
