MIDFIELDER Jason Taylor has parted company with Eastleigh – and returned north to join Vanarama National League rivals AFC Fylde.

The 30-year-old has signed a deal with The Coasters until January and was on the bench for their 0-0 draw against Gateshead last night.

Droylsden-born Taylor joined the Spitfires in August last year after leaving Northampton Town by mutual consent.

He made his Silverlake debut in the ill-fated 4-2 home defeat by Dover Athletic which cost former boss Chris Todd his job.

Taylor went on to make 23 league and cup appearances for Eastleigh, but injury curtailed his campaign.

He was forced off at half-time with hip and foot problems during the FA Cup tie against FC Halifax Town – Martin Allen’s first game in charge – and didn’t return.

Despite regaining his fitness, the former Oldham, Stockport and Rotherham midfielder had not featured at all this season under current Spitfires' manager Richard Hill.
