Harry Redknapp has given some coaching advice to a Sydenhams Wessex League player - after seeing his recent own goal against Hythe & Dibden.
Attempting to pass the ball across goal, Downton's stand-in goalkeeper, Mark Gulliver, found the far corner of his own net.
After seeing the video produced by South Coast Journalism, Redknapp said: "You should have kicked it weith your left foot, it was coming on your left side and you kicked it with your right foot!
"Practise your left-foot clearances and don't try to kick it too hard.
"Still, lots of people have had fun watching it so long may it continue!"
The own goal put Downton 1-0 down and they went on to lose the Wessex One fixture 6-5.
