FOLLAND Sports have filled two vacancies at the club – and created another in the process.
Barry Morse, chairman of the overall Folland Sports & Social Club, has agreed to take over as football chair for the time being following Roy Kingdon’s mid-October departure.
Meanwhile the role of first-team manager has gone to Brad Hartill who stepped in on a caretaker basis when Bjay Green and his assistant Richard Elmes resigned a week before Kingdon’s exit.
Hartill formerly player-managed Follands Reserves and the knock-on effect is that the Planemakers are now looking for someone to run their Wyvern League (East) side.
Jason Simmonds, who had been assisting Hartill, has taken on more of a commercial manager’s role, but the King’s Avenue club – currently rock-bottom of Sydenhams Division One - are in need of plenty more help behind the scenes.
Follands’ Garry Budden said: “I’m club secretary but I can’t go to away games with our first team because the reserves need someone to do the gate and tea hut.
“We could do with some extra matchday helpers too.”
Budden will be on first-team duty on Saturday with Hartill’s men entertaining mid-table Ringwood Town at Follands Park. The reserves make the short trip to Sholing.
