SAINTS will make a late call on Mario Lemina's fitness.

The central midfielder has been out for the last three games with an ankle injury, but could come back against Everton on Sunday.

Mauricio Pellegrino will monitor Lemina, who was signed for a club-record fee from Juventus in the summer, and decide whether he's fit enough to face the Toffees.

With Oriol Romeu suspended, having picked up a fifth yellow card of the season against Liverpool last weekend, a return for Lemina will be very welcome indeed.

Matt Targett is the only other injury doubt. The left-back picked up a leg injury in Saints Under-23s' 4-3 defeat to Fulham earlier this week at Staplewood.

Pellegrino said: "The only player that has a little problem is Matt Targett, but most of them are training, 100 per cent.

"Mario’s training well. It’s too soon right now to decide how he will be. When you’ve got an injury, three days is a lot of time. We’ll decide tomorrow, or maybe before the game."
