SALISBURY succeeded where Winchester City had failed four days earlier with an Evo-Stik South West win at bottom club Bishops Cleeve.
But Steve Claridge’s second-placed side were made to work hard for the points by tigerish opponents on a bobbly pitch that didn’t suit their passing game.
The Whites trailed 1-0 at the break, undone by a Iuean Crowe strike midway through the first half.
But, with the wind at their backs, Salisbury were a different proposition in the second 45 minutes.
Owen Howe equalised on the hour before Eddie Perrett was brought down in the box, allowing George Colson to net from the penalty spot.
With six minutes to go, Howe crowned a 3-1 victory, turning home Lewis Benson’s low cross.
It was the former Tiverton Town man’s tenth Salisbury goal since signing in December.
