GOSPORT Borough made four new signings ahead of today's Evo-Stik South Premier test at league leaders Hereford.

The basement boys were outclassed 5-1 at Edgar Street.

But, with relegation rivals Dunstable Town also losing, 4-0 at home to Hitchin, Borough will hope their latest arrivals will get them the points they need for survival in their last eight games.

Following the return of attacking midfielder Sam Lanahan from Dorchester, the Privett Park basement boys snapped up Toyosi Olusanya, Ryan Case and Luca Wrightman.

Having previously been involved at Chelsea, Reading and Wolves, 20-year-old, pacy striker Olusanya scored on his league debut for AFC Wimbledon against Newport County before dropping into non-League with Kingstonian and Walton.

Wrightman, a graduate of Aldershot Town’s academy, can play as either a right-back or winger, while versatile defender Ryan Case – signed from Bath City – began his career with AFC Bournemouth and has recently been dual-signed with Sydenhams Premier leaders Andover Town.

Gosport went in 2-0 down at the break at Hereford before hitting back through Rowan Vine early in the second half. But the Bulls took just a minute to restore their two-goal cushion and went on to seal a comfortable win.

Lanahan went off injured for Borough just 18 minutes in.
