EASTLEIGH will find themselves up against a refreshed Aldershot Town line-up in tomorrow's National League Hampshire derby at The Recreation Ground (Monday, 3pm).

While the Spitfires scheduled home game against Ebbsfleet fell victim to the wet weather on Good Friday, the fourth-placed Shots laboured to a 0-0 draw at lowly Solihull Moors.

It leaves the promotion-hunting north Hampshire club ten points adrift of league leaders Macclesfield Town – 3-2 winners at Woking – meaning that, in all probability, they will now have to settle for the play-offs.

The new set-up this season, though, means there is a big advantage in finishing second or third with those two teams automatically advancing to the play-off semi-finals at their home ground.

Hinting that he may freshen things up after Friday, Aldershot boss Gary Waddock said: “We are a fit squad and we can rotate the team with the personnel we’ve got, so we will be ready for the Eastleigh game on Monday, I’m sure. We need to pick up points at home.”

Eastleigh are down to 14th after the weekend results and are still one point off their initial 50-point target. Defenders Gavin Hoyte, Ayo Obileye and Ryan Cresswell are their main injury doubts.

When the teams met at the Silverlake Stadium last August, it petered out into a 0-0 draw despite the Shots playing an hour with ten men following the dismissal of Kodi Lyons-Foster.
