CRAIG McAllister was the toast of Blackfield & Langley tonight as he fired the Watersiders to the Sydenhams Premier title at a gleeful Gang Warily.

For long spells of their penultimate game of the season, Blackfield looked nervy and tired as a hectic end to the season took its toll against Hamworthy United.

But super sub McAllister emerged as the hero, grabbing a 78th-minute winner to take Glenn Howes’ Watersiders level on 99 points with long-time leaders Andover Town with a superior goal difference of 30.

Blackfield, who have one last league game to play at Brockenhurst on Friday (7.45pm), will have their name engraved on the trophy for a second time following the 2012/13 success masterminded by Ashley Vickers.

It's been a special night too for Sholing’s Marvin McLean who made his 600th club appearance at home to Cowes Sports.

McLean was also named players’ player-of-the-season, with goalkeeper Ryan Gosney netting the manager’s award and Owen Royal taking the young player-ofthe-season prize.

Sholing won 1-0 thanks to an 88th-minute Dan Miller header from Alex Sawyer’s corner.

Fareham Town eclipsed Portland United 3-1 at Cams Alders with Callum Laycock, Matt Andrews and Scott Hamilton wrapping up the points.

Horndean beat Bemerton 3-0 and, in Division One, Hythe & Dibden romped past Folland Sports 5-0.

Alresford Town lost the Andover Open Cup final 3-0 to Andover New Street – Zac Neve (2) and Shane Lock the scorers.

Havant & Waterlooville are in pole position for automatic promotion to the National League with just one game remaining.

The Hawks needed to win by three goals to overtake Dartford on goal difference at the NL South summit and wound up demolishing East Thurrock 6-1 through Rory Williams, Theo Lewis (2), Jason Prior (2) and an OG.

Gosport Borough’s trip to Dunstable Town tomorrow evening (Thursday, 7.45pm) is do or die in their Evo-Stik South Premier survival fight.

Dunstable’s 2-0 win at Biggleswade last night has dumped Borough back to bottom spot, three points adrift of the Bedfordshire side with two games to go.
