FORMER Alresford Town and Winchester City goal machine Warren Bentley has agreed a move to Evo-Stik South Premier outfit Weymouth from Poole Town.

Bentley scored 17 times in 35 National League South games for Poole last term, but the season ended in disappointment as the Dolphins were relegated from non-League’s second tier.

The skilful marksman will link up with another ex-Poole striker Tony Lee, who recently joined the Terras from AFC Totton, plus resident marksmen Brandon Goodship, Ben Thomson and Harry Baker.

In a statement on theterras.com, Weymouth boss Mark Molesley said: "I think you can never have enough goals in the squad. He’s a player we’ve courted for some time, even before I was manager, and we’ve kept a keen eye on him.

“He brings something different to the table and I think you can never have too many striking options. We are delighted to have him on board. He adds to our already great striking options with Brandon, Harry and Thommo already here."

Bentley, a PE teacher at The Sholing Technology College , also had spells in the National League South with Gosport Borough and Hungerford Town.
