SAINTS outcast Sofiane Boufal has joined Celta Vigo on a season-long loan.
Boufal, 24, heads to La Liga, after scoring four goals in 59 appearances for Saints, two years after joining from Lille.
A statement on the club's website said: "We wish Sofiane good luck for the season ahead."
Boufal and Saints manager Mark Hughes allegedly had a bust-up last season following the player’s refusal to warm-up during a home defeat in April.
Subsequently, Boufal, who Saints bought for £16m from Lille in 2016, was left out of the club’s recent two-week trip to China. He has used the time to find a new club.
The attacking midfielder arrived as Sadio Mane’s replacement in August 16, for a then club-record £16m fee.
But his spectacular solo goal against West Brom last season, was one of the few highlights of his time at St Mary’s.
