WINGER Curtis Young has seized the chance to play Evo-Stik Premier South football with Wimborne Town.

The 19-year-old former AFC Bournemouth trainee has left AFC Totton to join Matty Holmes’ newly-promoted Magpies side.

Holmes, who will know Young well from his Bournemouth links, said: “He was an important player for Totton last season, a big part of their success in claiming tenth position in the league.

“He can play anywhere across the front four and is an exciting player. After a couple of games and training sessions, we can see his huge potential.”

Wishing Young all the best on his new Cuthbury adventure, Totton boss Louis Langdown tweeted: “Good luck to our boy @Young10Curtis who joins @WimborneTownFC.

"A very talented young player who we've loved watching play week in and week out. You're in good hands with Matty. See you soon.”

Wimborne, who kick of the new campaign at Farnborough on Saturday, have also signed ex-Pompey youth defender Lewis Tallack, who has most recently played for Blackfield & Langley and Gosport Borough, and versatile ex-AFC Bournemouth U21 skipper Jordan Lee.

Lee left the Cherries in February having had his contract cancelled by mutual consent and has chosen to leave the professional game and join a local club where he can enjoy his football.
