SAINTS defender Wesley Hoedt is close to completing a loan move to La Liga outfit Celta Vigo, according to reports from Spain.
Hoedt, 24, has not featured at all under Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.
He made the last of his 41 Premier League appearances in the 3-2 defeat at Fulham on November 24 and Hasenhuttl has made it clear the Dutchman is free to move to a new club.
Victor Lopez, of Spanish news station Radio Galega, has reported that the La Liga side are set to complete the signing of the centre-back on loan until the end of the season.
Hoedt, who was signed for £15m from Lazio in August 2017, would join Saints winger Sofiane Boufal at Celta Vigo, who are fourth from bottom of La Liga after a fourth successive defeat on Saturday.
