ANDREW Surman's first start for England Under-21s in their Euro 2009 qualifier against Montenegro last night ended in frustration.
Surman was brought in because Mark Noble was suspended but the Saints star appeared to pick up a calf problem and was replaced by Fabrice Muamba in the first half.
England won 1-0 at the Walkers Stadium.
