Shane Long has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad.
The striker, who ended the Premier League campaign in excellent form, received the nod from national team boss Mick McCarthy.
Long will be gunning for a starting spot in Ireland's Uefa Euro 2020 qualifiers away to Denmark [6 June] and at home to Gibraltar [10 June].
Saints' ace ended the season with a run of four goals in the final seven games.
This included his goal against Watford, which after just 7.69 seconds, is the fastest goal in Premier League history.
The 32-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, was also the only Saints striker to score in 2019.]
In a recent interview with the Daily Echo, Long admitted that he would love to stay at Saints, but added that his form hasn't warranted a new deal.
However, with his strong run-in, the striker has staked his claim for a contract renewal before the expiration of his current one.
