IPSWICH Town are keen to bring Saints keeper Kelvin Davis back to Portman Road - if they don't sign ex-Saints loanee Richard Wright.
Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has admitted Davis is on his radar if Wright can't be tempted back to Ipswich from West Ham.
"Kelvin is on our list of keepers," said ex-Dell midfielder Magilton.
"He is another who enjoyed the most successful spell of his career whilst at our football club.
"Kelvin has had a few years where things have not gone as well as he would have hoped but I know him and I know that through games and confidence in an environment he knows and in a place where he feels secure I'm sure his goalkeeping ability would flourish.
"He is on our list of possibles to bring back to this football club."
Davis has been first choice keeper for most of his two seasons at Saints following a £900,000 move from Sunderland in the summer of 2006.
He did lose his place temporarily to Bartosz Bialkowski towards the end of the 2006/07 season following a suspension.
And Nigel Pearson preferred loanee Wright to Davis at the end of last season after the latter had recovered from injury.
Davis faces competition for his place at St Mary's from Bialkowski, recent signing Tommy Forecast and Michael Poke.
