JAN Poortvliet believes it is only a matter of time before Saints start picking up the points he feels they deserve.
The Saints head coach was pleased with the performance of his side in the 2-1 defeat against Birmingham in much the same way as he was with the opening day loss to Cardiff.
But despite their good football, Saints still don't have a point on the board and next Saturday travel to Derby who will be equally desperate to break their own barren run with a win at Pride Park.
Poortvliet, right, said: "We had a very good performance, more than last week.
"First half was outstanding and second half maybe we could have had 2-0 from Stern John.
"After that we played football but weren't a danger anymore like the first half and that we have to learn.
"We have to work on it and we have to put ourselves on a higher level.
"When you need to win you have to want to win and give everything you have - and that is missing a little bit.
