JAN Poortvliet will this week welcome Saints' forgotten stars back into the first team fold.
Experienced players such as Rudi Skacel and Jason Euell have been out of the picture for the first month of the season as speculation continued over their futures.
Poortvliet has always said it is no reflection on their ability, rather that the club needed to try to cut the wage bill - and as high earners they may be the ones to go.
With that in mind Poortvliet has decided to keep them away from the first team squad as he tries to build a team for the future rather than selecting players who may not remain at the club.
That policy appeared justified as Grzegorz Rasiak, Marek Saganowski and Jhon Viafara all departed.
But for the likes of Skacel and Euell who remain it will be a case of them becoming part of the family all over again.
