Bartosz on loan to Ipswich

Daily Echo: Bartosz Bialkowski Bartosz Bialkowski

SAINTS goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has joined fellow Championship side Ipswich Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 21 year-old Polish stopper has seen limited first-team action this season – though he has featured regularly on the bench – with all three of his first team appearances coming in the Carling Cup.

But Saints head coach Mark Wotte revealed that the club has an option to re-call Bialkowski if needed.

“We have a few goalkeepers in the squad at the moment with Kelvin Davis, Tommy Forecast, Michael Poke and Andrej Pernecky also in contention, so I can’t guarantee Bartosz any football at this moment," he said.

Can't say i'm suprised with this, in all the games he played this season for us and there has only been a few he has been shocking, most notably the League cup debarcle.

He's gonna be a good keeper in future, I just hope he's being primed for when Davis leaves. I've only seen Forecast play in pre-season but he doesn't fill me with confidence.

I'm glad the club have put a recall clause in Bart's contract.

I agree with Kate, Bartosz is fine prospect and must surely be our number 2 keeper to Kelvin?

I know that his appearances this season weren't too good, but I saw enough of him previously to know that he will be a suitable replacement for Kelvin Davis eventually.

He did really well during the spell when Kelvin was banned, back in the play-off season. Kelvin couldn't get back into the squad when his ban finished coz Bart was doing so well.

Mind you, the defence was alot more solid in those days!!!
:)

Good luck Bart!

That's Bart finished then if he's got the support of Kate 'we'll win more games than we lose this season' from Andover!!!!
