THE Football League will hold an emergency board meeting on Monday afternoon to discuss the situation at Saints.
It is understood that one of the conditions of Pinnacle's proposed takeover is that they are able to appeal the ten-point deduction.
When Saints were deemed to be in insolvency proceedings by the League, they were issued a notice of withdrawal.
The League need to agree to take that back in order that the club is able to compete next season and open the door for a Pinnacle takeover.
Frustrated administrator Mark Fry this evening told the Daily Echo; "There are a number of very small issues that remain but the principle one of which is the Football League situation.
"They have agreed to have an emergency meeting on Monday but until any bidder can be satisfied about membership of the League they won't complete a purchase of the club."
