HAMPSHIRE sailing star Mike Golding will be looking to score higher in the next round of the iShares Cup following a slow start.
Golding, who recently switched from single-handed sailing to racing the Extreme 40 catamarans, came tenth out of ten with his team Ecover at the inaugural event in Venice.
Golding and his Ecover team are now heading to the French resort of Hyeres for the second round of racing, which starts tomorrow.

Following training races in Hyeres prior to the event, the 48-year-old from Warsash said: “On a positive note, while we didn’t win any of the practice races we didn’t come last in any either – so that’s a vast improvement on Venice.”
