GRAEME Murty wants Saints to show Millwall plenty of aggression today, in a bid to make St Mary’s a horrible place for opponents to visit.
The 34-year-old right back, who signed a one-year deal at the club on Tuesday night, is set to make his competitive debut for Saints this afternoon.
The former Reading captain is expecting a tough test against last season’s beaten League One play-off finalists.
But he has urged his teammates to show a bit of grit and lay down a marker for visiting sides this campaign.
“They’re high-tempo, aggressive and obviously very good,” Murty said of Millwall. “They got to the playoff final last year and will feel a little bit aggrieved (to have lost).
“They’ll want to start with a good performance here, at a big, big club.
“So it’s down to us to match everything they do and maybe even go above it.”
