Saints were this evening drawn at home to Pompey in the FA Cup fifth round. The match will be played on the weekend of February 13/14.
Saints qualified for the fifth round after Saturday's 2-1 home win over Ipswich, while Pompey came from behind to beat Sunderland 2-1 at Fratton Park.
Saints have played Pompey four times in the FA Cup and have never lost.
In fact, they have never been beaten by their rivals in cup competitions.
The last time the two sides met at St. Mary's was also an FA Cup game, with Saints coming out on top thanks to a Peter Crouch penalty in the last minute.

• Derby County v Birmingham City
• Bolton Wanderers v Tottenham/Leeds
• Chelsea v Cardiff City

I wonder what the blue few think of that draw then? Choas will run through the streets of Southampton the whole weekend. I think Mr Westwood should be banned after his alledged urinating on the seats in The Northam during his last visit. In the words of Delia - "Let's be 'avin you!" Marcus welcome to the world of rivalry (some call hatred) that goes back years. The stadium will rock - Pardew you have one mission to get the lads up for this...none of them will have experienced the bitterness and the vitriole they hold for us - put them in their place once and for all before they go out of business. The biggest payday for them for ages - but all too late. I bet they sell out very quickly for this one...how many will they get - 6,000?

Have just been reading the Portsmouth news website to see how the Skates are reacting to the news. Seems that amongst the spelling mistakes, they appear to be quite confident much like ourselves. I don't think they realise that we just can't lose, even if they score more goals than us. No shame in losing to Premiership opposition and we get 90 minute to grill them over the shambolic embarrassment that they have become. Genius!!!

Genius!!!

if we were going to play a premiership club this round would of prefered a decent one. Instead half the money taken at the gate goes into Poop's pocket because cup gates are shared. So basically we will be helping their club out by going to the game. If they still exist of course. Will this be the last Southampton v pooh derby.

You fishy few, you come with your dreams and your hatred too, your nemesis Saints, St Mary’s your Waterloo.
We’ll take to the field with honour and pride, wave after wave, the red and white tide.
You’re in the Prem we’re in league one, all that’s forgotten when the battles begun.
Pardew’s army, solid and strong, with the backing of thousands, you’ll hear our song
With Rickie and Lee we’ll pour forward with style, Deano in midfield with power and guile
Adam will hurt you as he cuts through through your heart, the red and white boys will all play their part.
You’re a team on the wain, the dragon slain, Saints have the joy, Pompey the pain.
A few years from now with Pompey long gone and Saints in the Prem where we know we belong
We’ll talk of this day and it’ll be proud Saints fans who’ll say “I was there”
