AARON Martin could end his season with a unique Wembley double.
The imposing young centre-half joined Blue Square Premier outfit Salisbury City on-loan for a month last week from Saints.
The 20 year-old, who has been on the fringes of Alan Pardew’s first-team but has yet to make his Saints debut, will be at Wembley in some capacity when they take on Carlisle in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy final later this month.
And he could return to the national stadium in May with adopted club Salisbury.
The Whites meet Blue Square Premier rivals Barrow in the first leg of their FA Trophy semi-final on Saturday, with a place at Wembley the prize for the winners.
And, if all goes to plan for Salisbury in their two-legged tie against the Cumbrian outfit and Martin during his loan spell, he could still be at the club to play in the showpiece final.
“Hopefully I could be going there (to Wembley) twice,” the former Eastleigh man said.
“We will just have to see how the next month goes and make a decision at the end of it.”
