Peter Storries stands down as Chief Executive at Portsmouth FC

PETER Storrie has stepped down from his role as CEO at Portsmouth Football Club.

However, he shall remain on the club in a 'consultancy' role.

A statement from the club's administrator Andrew Andronikou revealed Storrie had left ''in the best interests of the club'' after speaking with family and friends, although he will continue to advise them in a consultancy role.

Storrie had taken a 40 per cent pay cut after 85 of the club's staff were made redundant earlier this week as Andronikou sought to cut costs.

Storrie will be ''remunerated accordingly'' for working with Pompey on a range of matters, including the sale of the club, the FA Cup semi-final arrangements and other projects.

About time, the mans a a**hole....i hope the administrators sacks the lot of them........the club should be docked points this season & next. The club has been dodging the taxman for years, everybody was happy to take take take just like the players are still doing, but when the sh*t hits the fan they want us to feel sorry for them.Chester City have gone to the wall for as little as £25,000...these muppets owe tens of millions...they must not be allowed to just get away scot free.I hope that PS get found guilty of fraud & tax avaision as even pitsmouth fan are saying he is a crook...sent him to jail....along with old twitch.

Another smoke screen in this ridiculous saga. "Look Pete, its looking bad for you, because we have had to lay off some of the staff.... I know, we will say you have stood down, cos that will sound good, and then we will keep you on in a consultancy role, and pay you just as much as before, but no-one will spot it. See you down the club later for a gin. Now lets just do our funny handshake."
