Jimmy Adams batted for more than TEN hours - the longest Hampshire innings since records began – before admitting: "I’ve got mixed feelings."
When the Hampshire batsman was finally out yesterday afternoon, having begun his marathon 194 against Lancashire on Wednesday evening, he hoped to have secured a valuable LV= County Championship draw at Liverpool.
But in a dramatic finish, Hampshire lost off the penultimate ball of the match as Lancashire chased down the 168 they needed in 33 overs.
Adams said: "It’s nice to have some form going into the last two games but it’s frustrating to score runs and not get the right result. I’ve got mixed feelings."
