Paul Tisdale rules out Saints job

FORMER Saint Paul Tisdale has ruled himself out of a potential return to the club.

The ex-Dell midfielder, now in charge at Saints' League One rivals Exeter City, turned down the chance to manage at St Mary's prior to Alan Pardew taking over in July 2009.

Pardew's dismissal earlier this week led to comments from one of Exeter's directors that they were bracing themselves for another Saints approach.

But Tisdale, who has twice turned down approaches from Swansea in the past two summers, has said: "I'm happy at Exeter - the job's not finished yet, so I haven't been swayed by any vacancy.

"I'm pretty committed to where I am at present, so on Saturday I'll be an Exeter City manager."

He added: "Southampton is a former club that I spent a long time at, and I'm a follower of the Saints."
