Eastleigh took a look at another ex-Saint in last night's 2-1 friendly win at Sholing.

Having run the rule over defender Ryan Tafazolli last week, the Blue Square Bet South outfit are now casting an eye over Jersey-born winger Jack Boyle.

Boyle signed for Saints as an 18-year-old in November 2008 having been spotted by former chairman Michael Wilde.

He was released from St Mary's in May last year following an injury-hit season and subsequently joined Salisbury City.

Jamie Slabber and Andrew White converted a penalty apiece for Eastleigh with ex-Spitfire Barry Mason on target for Southern One South & West hosts Sholing.

AFC Totton, meanwhile, put in an impressive performance to earn a 2-2 home draw against full-timers Salisbury.

Mike Gosney twice fired the Stags in front with Salisbury replying through Tyrell Webb and Dan Fitchett.

"Over the last couple of friendlies we have really come together as a group and there was not a great deal between us and Salisbury," said satisfied Totton boss Stuart Ritchie.
