MATT Tubbs scored on his debut as AFC Bournemouth beat Exeter City 2-0 at Dean Court last night.
The club’s record signing celebrated his return to Dorset by firing in the 72nd -minute opener from close range following winger Scott Malone’s cross.
Substitute Malone secured Cherries fifth win in seven matches six minutes later.
Following a quick exchange of passes with Tubbs, he also found the net from close range, strengthening Cherries’ play-off charge in the process.
Cherries are now up to eighth in League One and face a long trip to Hartlepool this weekend.
