SAINTS defender Ryan Dickson has been recalled from his loan spell at Yeovil Town.

The left back returns to St Mary's from Huish Park with immediate effect.

A statement from Yeovil said: "His loan deal has ended due to the player wanting to remain at one club for the rest of the season. However, under loan rules, the maximum duration that the Glovers could keep Ryan for was a further 60 days."

Dickson joined Yeovil on an initial one-month deal towards the start of January. He made five appearances for the League One side, scoring once.

decent player, suplus to requirements! dont know why we signed him in the first place really. we had harding and joe mills at the time and when we signed foxy it was the final nail in the coffin for him really. i think there is a lot of championship teams who would be better of with him in their squad.

Didn't he deputise for Lallana last season away at Leyton Orient. If I remember correctly he played really well...

Unfortunately he is not good enough defensively otherwise he would still be in the squad.Great going forward but often used to leave the defense exposed. With Fox, Harding,Reeves and Shaw we have an abundance of riches in this position.
