Saints are hoping to welcome Jos Hooiveld back into the side to face Burnley at St Mary’s tomorrow.
The centre half has been a huge hit since his switch from Celtic, initially on loan before securing a permanent deal.
However, he has been missing for the last four games after hurting his hamstring in the St Mary’s loss to Leicester.
If Hooiveld does make it back then it is expected he will resume his partnership with Jose Fonte with Aaron Martin the man to make way.
With Fonte having also suffered from injury the pair haven’t played together yet in 2012.
Danny Fox also comes back into the reckoning at left back having served his one game ban for a red card at Birmingham. Dan Harding came in to replace him for the FA Cup defeat to Millwall and is the man Fox is hoping to dispossess.

I'd play Fox any day

This is great news. We have really missed Hooiveld at the back, I think Aaron Martin has had his chance, and I really don't think he makes the cut for this league. Maybe in another season or 2 he might be ready for the big league.

Excellent news! In my opinion fox is better than Harding, his cross field balls and deliveries are great! Lambert and sharp to start up top and lallana and puncheon on the wings

Guly and Lallana out wide feeding Rickie and Billy up front. Cork and Spiderman in the middle. This is the first time we have had no major injury problems. Cant understand the comments re Martin, he is a young lad learning his trade, he has done OK don't forget left side would not be his chosen position.

Would this mean a full-fit squad?

Happy selection headache, Nigel.
