Afternoon everyone - almost normal service resumed with 2-levels of English football between us and then down the road...it can only be a few weeks now!
Not sure why we get into debates about who's a Saints fan and who isn't...feel sure that I know who is and who isn't even if I haven't met them for a beer!
As for the next few weeks - it can't be any more intense than last season with Huddersfield snapping at our heels and Brighton out of the equation?
I still think there will be many twists and turns before May - but looks like I've got my ticket for Pompey sorted, as well as Barnsley, Doncaster, Hull and Boro. I'm going to do my bit getting behind the lads when I can, just hope as many of you as possible can join me! May be seeking help for the Coventry game...just think it could be like last season a massive promotion party at St. Mary's - the hottest ticket in town!
Truly been a great couple of years being a Saints fan - I have to say all I ever wanted was 11-players on the pitch & a squad who gave their all for the fans (not themselves). Seems we have that now - if only we had it in the years just before being relegated!
Never a great fan of Lowe, but perhaps what he did for us fans was the best thing he ever did for the club - he had obviously taken it as far as he could with the finances available.
Let us just be proud of our success and not arrogant. I believe the "Spirit of Southampton" lives on in the current regime. Thankyou Markus, Nicola, Nigel and the squad - the pride of Hampshire are back where they rightfully belong - No.1 in Hampshire. Let's not stop there - England & Europe to conquer yet! (Winky Smiley Thing!!)
    So then....

    The Saints are on top
    The bad years unfurled
    Yorkie's in his Heaven
And all's right with the world."

Rickie Lambert bagged his third hat-trick of the season to fire Saints back to the top of the Championship table.

The prolific striker scored twice in the space of ten first half minutes before rounding off a 3-0 win at Watford from the penalty spot.

With West Ham only drawing at home to Crystal Palace, the result saw Saints climb back to the league summit on a day when Birmingham also lost at home to relegation threatened Nottingham Forest.
